Geoscience Research in India

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) has brought out a special issue of the Proceedings of the INSA (Vol. 78, 3 Sept. 2012, pp. 239-614; Guest Editors, D.M. Banerjee and A.R. Singhvi) on Glimpses of Geoscience Research in India 2008-2012 as the Indian Report to the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS).

The publication incorporates 27 status reports and six institutional reports covering almost the entire gamut of geological studies and research carried out in the country during the last five years and hence is of great interest to all those engaged in any branch of Earth system Sciences in India to obtain a synoptic view. This excellently brought out publication contains in a nutshell, a wealth of information of relevance to students, research scholars, Academicians as well as professionals and is available in the Society's Library for reference.
